Here is Jan Clark's autobiographical sketch that I excerpted from several different “blurbs” she offered.

Janice Clark, known to many as “Grandma Jan” was born in Corona, California, but has lived long enough in Washington State to grow webbed feet. She has been a dreamer of dreams and a teller of tales all her life. Once her children were grown, she began writing in earnest, producing a prolific profusion of poems, stories, songs, and even a few sermons.

Jan shares a home with her brother Richard on a mini-farm south of Olympia, Washington, surrounded by Christmas tree farms and blueberries When she isn't mending fences to keep the local deer and rabbits out of the garden, or trying to convince the birds and squirrels to stay out of the cherry trees, she likes to write stories about the magical worlds of her imagination. The morning fog that spills over the coastal hills and drifts through their little patch of woods could easily hide all sorts of mythical, magical creatures!

Author of The Hall of Doors children's fantasy chapter books (Orchard House Press, formerly Windstorm Creative) Including The Mountains of the Moon, The Door in the Sky (publication pending), and The Mirror Door (publication pending). Other publications include: A short story about a slug detective in the anthology Tales of the Slug, Love Lives Here: The Heart of a Mother, a gift book from Barbour Publishing Christmas Brings Joy to Every Heart, a gift book from Barbour Publishing Various poems and short stories

Jan also resumed her interrupted education, earning an AA degree from Highline Community College in 2001, at the age of 60. Her main writing interest is fantasy stories for children and young adults.
